Course Objectives Cultural allegiances whether inherited, imposed or chosen, affect international economic activities. Many of these cultural layersethnic background, religion, language, ideological orientation, and artistic interestspill over national boundaries that have certain impact on the international business decisions. That is why an understanding of different international cultural environment to carry out the international business operation succesfully is essential. That is why this course devolopes the students understanding of the core decisions involved in different international cultural environment. International management has never been as significant as it is today. Many of the world’s largest firms are truly global, and even their smaller counter parts increasingly participate in crossborder activities by its overseas partners.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • will be able to do case studies about the problem of international trade and finance with the related subjects such as culture,political structure,foreign exchange,geographical terrain, time and technology.
  • will be able to discuss the trend towards a single global economy, how ıt is expanding markets and providing unlimited opportunities for multinational managers within complex international cultural environment.
  • will be able to express case for protectionism versus international culture and their impact on the international business decision in doing business internationally.
  • will be able to discuss the new versus the old, openness and creativity issues will be discussed in the context of international business and trade.
  • will be able to explain the basic definitions and terms used in crosscultural environment and international business.
  • will be able to discuss the importance of crossborder international trade and business activities to improve the performance of multinational corporations.
Course Description This course will examine the cultural and behavioural relationship between multionational corporations and also the course will analyze the domestic as well as international cultural environments to carry out international business performance efficiently and effectively.Bu ders çokuluslu şirketler arasındaki kültürel ve davranışsal ilişkileri inceleyecek, ayrıca ders verimli ve etkili bir uluslar arası iş performansı gerçekleştirmek için hem yurtiçi hem de yurtdışı kültürel ortamları analiz edecektir.
