The 2nd IBSEN Summer School, hosted by The Hague University of Applied Sciences and organized by the IBSEN network -of which İzmir University of Economics (Türkiye) is a member along with universities from Germany, Czech Republic, South Korea, Canada, USA, Finland, Netherlands, France, and Italy - has ended! An online session held prior to the start of the summer school provided students with the opportunity to meet each other and the lecturers involved. Additionally, this session introduced students to the VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) framework and gave an overview of the module. The duration of the program was two weeks and students took courses given by international instructors in two modules, IBSEN Module and General Module.
Our students, Kerem Kavruk, Nihan Karaküçük, and Ali Erdoğan Olguner from İzmir University of Economics, Faculty of Business Administration, participated in this fantastic event and enjoyed an amazing two weeks with IBSEN partner participants. Students were given a preparatory assignment to work on in groups. The modules were specifically designed for them and other participating students from Germany, Czech Republic, Finland, Netherlands, Belgium, France, USA, Canada, and South Korea. Successful completion of both modules earns 4 ECTS credits and these credits are reflected on our students’ transcripts. At the end of the summer school, our students explored how to live and work effectively in the VUCA environment.
