Course Objectives | The objective of this course is mainly to develop the application of written, oral and interpersonal communication theory in the business environment in general and international trade and investment environment in particular. Based on an overview of relevant theory, students refine their skills as business communicators through assigned projects and exercises as well as in-class presentations, critiques and discussions. A high level of competency in spoken and written English is assumed as is a substantial degree of computer literacy. This course consists of several on-line assignments, in-class discussions, a research project and exams. There are also a series of text-related exercises. |

Course Description | The course focuses on communication in international business, trade and investment environment. This course is designed to strengthen a student’s oral and written skills for various business-related purposes. The course will also increase their level of familiarity with various communication technologies used widely in international trade and finance today. |
