Course Objectives The purpose of the course is to highlight some of the important trade matters affecting the international trade. This course seeks to provide students with a relatively strong foundation regarding international trade and project finance.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • will be able to explain the basic international trade definitions,trends, regional trading block, adapting to local and conditions and regulations.
  • will be able to discuss financing techniques in brief.
  • will be able to explain open account trading, negotiable instruments,documentary Collections,documentary credits,factoring, export credits,Forfaiting,leasing.
  • will be able to discuss the Trade and Project financing risk, trade corporate risk, country risk and their sub componets risks.
  • will be able to explain documentary credits, where used, applications, main futures,security,nomenclature costs, legal framework, fraud, blocking payment, developments, trends and automations.
  • will be able to discuss factoring, fortaiting and leasing applications in Turkey
  • will be able to explain project financing, boot operations, countertarde management and legal issues, procedures and applications in general as well as in Türkiye.
  • will be able to explain basic definitions and terms used in international trade and project financing.
Course Description It also includes project financing techniques and their applications. The course will help those seeking entrance into this most interesting field of finance by exploring problems that they may face in dealing in international trade and finance transactions on a daily basis. The course will be dealing with these subjects in the context of emerging markets rather than in the context of developed markets
